Introducting Golang on DotNetJalps

Golang is a unique language and I have been playing with it quite a few days. So far this ride has been amazing. So I thought it will be a good idea to document my journey with Golang so I have created another blog for golang. In this blog I'm going to document my journey of blog.

So ladies and Gentlemen, Here I am presenting Here I'm going to write blog about Golang from Microsoft.NET developer's perceptive.

I have been working on Microsoft.NET since last ten years and It's been while I have not tried any other language to learn. Also I want to make my self better programmer so it will be high time to learn some new language and technologies are available. I have tried few things like Python, Java, Golang etc and I like Golang and I like it most.

Here are the few reason Golang is awesome as language.

  1. Static typing -  There are few rules defined. This actually makes you write better code. In other languages there are multiple ways of doing things. 2in Golang there is one single way to do few thing. So you don't have to worry about what is the best way to do it.
  2. There are only 25 keywords it's actually made easy to learn Golang.
  3. Static library and no requirement for binary distribution. It will create a single binary for application.
  4. Unique way to use Object oriented concepts there are not classes. Still supporting Complete Object Oriented programming.
  5. Great standard inbuilt library.
  6. Concurrency is in built. So you can scale your application very easily.
  7. Performance is great as near as low level languages like C/C++.
  8. It's open source and backed by large organization like Google.
Disclaimer: Writing blog about Golang is does not mean that I moving from Microsoft.NET platform it's a great platform and still has lots of potential. I'm still loving it and It's my bread and butter. I use that everyday!.

Hope you like it. Stay tuned for more!!. I'm going to write how we can configure golang on windows and which editors are available in markets for Golang.
